An estimated 15,000 spectators lined the banks of the river Derwent on Boxing Day to watch the 45 rafts entered in the event. the EP Industries crew where sailing the "Hyundai Beach", the three hour race took us through Matlock town and finished at Cromford Meadows. Braving the hundreds of missiles, snowballs, bags of flour and buckets of freezing cold water we battled on to the end, intact. All for a good course, almost £8,000 was raised for charities including the Royal National Life Boat Institution and St John Ambulance. See you there next year
